Our Mission

UFAC's mission is to become a leading organization and resource center for Filipino Americans and others in need through community services, social activities, and educational scholarships. The purpose of this organization is to:

bulletPromote partnership and cooperation among the Filipino Americans within the State of Washington.
bulletAssist members in locating service organizations to address their specific needs.
bulletPromote educational, economic, and cultural advancement of the Filipino-American community.
bulletWork for the acquisition of a UFAC Community Center in Pierce County.

Organizational Profile

Our organization is community service oriented.  We strive to help members and others enhance their lifestyle and way of living by becoming an active member of society through volunteer activities.

Many enjoy our social activities; i.e., our dances help bring people together to develop new friendships, renew old ones, bond personal relationships while having lots of fun.  A new member once stated, "coming to this dance is the most fun I have had in many years."

Young adults in high school find that study and hard work is the key to academic success and that through UFAC they have a chance to earn a college scholarship.  One student commented, "The UFAC Scholarship Program is really great.  The scholarship program helped fund part of my tuition."
