UFAC
The United Filipino American Community of Pierce County, Inc., is
located in Washington state. (UFAC) is dedicated to enhancing
the lives of Filipino Americans living in the United States.
UFAC provides an avenue for social activities for its members and
friends. One of UFAC's major programs is educational
scholarships. These scholarships are given to a select number of
deserving high school students each year.

Domestic Violence presentations are being
offered for the Tacoma area at no charge. The presenters will be from
the Asian Pacific Islander Women & Family Safety Center of Seattle. If
you would like to attend a presentation, please contact Myrna Victoriano
at 206-722-9372 or email her at
senoramyr@yahoo.com. You will be notified when and where the
seminar will take place. Thank you for your interest. |

Organizational Profile
Our
organization is community service oriented. We strive to help members and
others enhance their lifestyle and way of living by becoming an active member of
society through volunteer activities.
Many enjoy our social
activities; i.e., our dances help bring people together to develop new
friendships, renew old ones, bond personal relationships while having lots of
fun. A new member once stated, "coming to this dance is the most fun I
have had in many years."
Young adults in high
school find that study and hard work is the key to academic success and that
through UFAC they have a chance to earn a college scholarship. One student
commented, "The UFAC Scholarship Program is really great. The
scholarship program helped fund part of my tuition."
